At the same time, consumer engagement and home automation create a new opportunity: residential flexibility can be used as a strategic resource during critical moments on the grid.
However, real-world data is still missing to demonstrate how this works in practice in Brazil.
We are launching an experimental pilot program in which residential consumers reduce or postpone energy use at specific times, with secure external monitoring for research purposes.

No. Any residential consumer can participate, even without automation. If you already have automation, it may increase your relevance to the project, but it's not required.

The pilot will run from November 2025 to February 2026.
Some participants will have external smart meters installed for real-time data collection. Installation is free, simple, and performed by our technical team in compliance with ANEEL, without affecting your energy bill.
This is an ANEEL-regulated R&D initiative, carried out in partnership between Auren, FloripaBit, BASE, and Integrate to Zero, with a focus on innovation, energy transition, and new models for the Brazilian power sector.
